Teaching.Codes is an advanced tool for teaching and/or learning how to code in an interactive manner. Since Teaching.Codes works as a plug-in for Eclipse, it can be used for all programming languages (Java, C/C++, Perl, Python, etc.) supported by Eclipse. It supports Windows, Mac OSX and Linux. Teaching.Codes is the third generation of a series of tools for teaching programming. This last generation has already been used by more than 3,000 students.

Teaching.Codes is an all-in-one tool. All lecture notes, example projects, and assignments are access through Eclipse. Thus, you never switch to another application like Powerpoint, web browser, or IDE to access the lecture notes or example code.

Teaching.Codes is a scalable system. You can give online exams to huge classes (thousands of students) and grade them within minutes. While grading, it is possible to check for specific structural constructs (such as checking if certain fields or classes are defined as public, private, or protected). The grading system supports partial credits. For each exam, the students get detailed reports that explain the aim of each scenario (test case), what was expected, and what the student has done. Thus, you can give frequent quizzes, assignments, and exams, and grade them easily.

Teaching.Codes converts the exams to a learning experience by allowing the student to test his/her solution during the exam. Thus, the students get a feeling of what is expected and perform better.

Teaching.Codes Team

Teaching.Codes has been designed by a team of professionals that have 22 years of experience in teaching programming to freshmen. The tool has excelled in the last 12 years, and is the third generation of a series of tools that have been used by more than 11,000 users.

Teaching.Codes is designed and developed by sd4u Inc., which is founded by two academicians.
